28.4.2016 Cluster Day in the Pardubice region

HISTORICALLY FIRST DAY OD CLUSTERS, AND IT IS IN PARDUBICE REGION!

The town of Pardubice hosted a historically first Day of Clusters presenting modern nanofiber technologies and their use in medical care, industry, smart building system, electro mobiles or drones equipped with thermovision.


,,At this event we demonstrate clusters from different perspective. It means, answering the question, what actual outcome of companies gathered in clusters is. This system of coordinated cooperation is very beneficial and brings out many advantages in terms of competitiveness to the region, Pavla Břusková, the president of National Cluster Association, explained as one of the main organisers of the event"


Having considered this plan over a long period time, finally, National Cluster Association together with its members from Pardubice region, Nanoprogress and Hi-Tech Innovation Cluster got together and started with this tradition by historically first Day of Clusters, on 28 April 2016.


The visitors of the event learned about successful Czech projects that contribute to the society as well as economy of the country. There were not only local achievements and research results presented, but also examples of successful clusters from different regions, Moravian Silesian Automotive Cluster, CREA Hydro & Energy from South Moravian region, Cluster of Czech Furniture Manufacturers, Czech Art of Glass. Furthermore, visitors could also enjoy contributions of particular representing Nanoprogress and Hi-Tech clusters.

 

 


,,We would like to show to the Czech entrepreneurs, press, universities and general public, what clusters can accomplish. Cluster vision and mission is to ensure smart Czech ideas get into practice. Accordingly, we create innovative products. Apparently, people are interested in modern technologies and we are very happy to have opportunity to present at least the small part of cluster organisations´ success,” one of organisers and the Nanoprogress Cluster manager Lubos Komarek commented the importance of the event.


This event took place under the auspices of Pardubice governor Martin Netolický, Pardubice Mayor, Czech Invest, Ministry of Trade and Industry and Technological Agency Czech Republic.
„Cluster is effective and proved model from abroad, where it effectively works in areas that are strongly represented in particular regions. In the Czech Republic we are focusing especially on clusters active in innovations. We are looking for new ways to improve for instance production process and of course endorse the use of modern technologies.” regional governor Martin Netolický added.

,,According to Martin Charvát, Pardubice Mayor, clusters are specific groups providing opportunity for technicians and technologists to exchange information, speed up the development and accordingly save time. Technologies keep running forward and clusters provide ideal platform to share information".

 

 


About Smart City and Smart Region


There were many interesting presentations on the event. One of them was provided by a well-known Smart City specialist Jakub Slavík. ,,Infrastructure of Smart Cities consists of smart mobility, smart energy and information and communication systems supporting smart innovations. The aim is a strategic concept that uses modern technologies to improve life in the cities and achieve economic prosperity. The blossom of the city and its inhabitants is the most essential result "Jakub Slavík explained the concept. 


,,We are very excited about so much interest we raised. The fact that such a well-known and praised specialist as Jakub Slavík accepts the invitation proves the highest quality and importance of the event. Also, other speakers did not stay behind. For instance from our cluster Vladimír Brož introduced smart building and its function", Lucie Plíšková, representative od Hi-Tech innovation cluster and one of the organisers said.


Day of cluster also gave opportunity to the representatives of different institutions collaborating with cluster community, such as Technical University from Liberec with speech about preparation of nanofibers using alternating current, Technology centre CAS about support of clusters from EU programmes and Technological Agency Czech Republic with the project INKA (Innovation Capacity of the Czech Republic).
