On 25 February 2013 the National Cluster Association (in conjunction with the Regional Development Agency) held an expert workshop ‘Gender in Innovation (including aspects of diversity)’ in Ostrava as part of the CluStrat project (www.clustrat.eu). The aim of the project is to boost the innovation potential of clusters in the Moravian-Silesian Region by mapping out new, emerging themes such as active old age, the green economy and sustainable mobility. CluStrat also opens up the innovation potential of clusters by focusing them on cross-sectoral themes – developing international contacts, strengthening the involvement of women in the innovation process, and facilitating the more effective transfer of knowledge and technologies. The key project output will be a series of recommendations for a new cluster support concept in the Moravian-Silesian Region based on findings from the Region and its 17 partner regions (including examples of best practice).

The CluStrat project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) via the Operational Programme Transnational Cooperation Central Europe.
