Security, Innovation and the Green Transition: Recap of the EU Industry Days

The European Cluster Collaboration Platform, on behalf of the European Commission, organised the EU Clusters Talk "Security, Innovation and the Green Transition: Recap of the EU Industry Days" on 18 June, 8:30 – 9:45 CET, to summarise the key messages from the event and reflect on takeaways for clusters and SMEs. 


The EU Industry Days are Europe’s annual flagship event focusing on key industrial policy discussions, connecting industrial frontrunners, and boosting the knowledge base of European industry. The 2025 edition of the EU Industry Days took place in Rzeszów, Poland, on 5-6 June 2025, with the support of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union. 

 

The event focused on three areas: 

  • Competitiveness and Decarbonisation: Creating lead markets for clean technologies, accelerating decarbonisation and circularity, increasing clean energy, developing framework conditions and infrastructure, strengthening the single market.
  • An Innovative Industry: Increasing and derisking investments, upskilling and reskilling, ena-bling start-ups and scale-ups to thrive, fostering critical technologies, and promoting R&I.
  • Increasing Security and Reducing Dependencies with EU Industry: Strengthening defence, building and ensuring the resilience of EU value chains, facilitating access to critical raw materials, and supporting Ukraine’s recovery.
