CEDEG Czech–Slovak CISO Club in Prague: Bringing Cybersecurity Leaders Together

Novinka

On 19 October 2026, another meeting of the CEDEG Czech–Slovak CISO Club took place in Prague, bringing together senior cybersecurity professionals, IT managers, and representatives of leading companies and organisations from the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

CEDEG, a member of the National Cluster Association (NCA) – the Czech Republic, actively contributes to advancing cybersecurity by connecting experts, facilitating knowledge sharing, and fostering collaboration between companies and organisations.

The CISO Club is one of its initiatives, providing a platform for open discussions on emerging challenges and innovative technological solutions.

The main focus of the evening was the growing role of artificial intelligence in network infrastructure management, data protection, and security operations – a technology that is fundamentally reshaping the cybersecurity landscape.

Through expert presentations and open discussions, participants explored how organisations can prepare for these changes, take advantage of new technological opportunities, and address the security threats emerging in the AI era.AI in Network Management, Data Protection, and Security OperationsThe programme featured three expert presentations exploring different aspects of artificial intelligence in cybersecurity.

AI in Network Infrastructure Management and Security

Peter Majerčák | Extreme Networks

Networks are the nervous system of every company, and managing them is becoming increasingly complex. However, artificial intelligence offers new possibilities – from monitoring network performance and detecting anomalies to identifying potential problems before end users even notice them.

Peter Majerčák demonstrated how AI is transforming enterprise network management and raised an important question for the future: How far are we from truly autonomous networks capable of not only detecting problems but also resolving them independently?

Data Protection in the Age of AI Agents and LLMs

Petr Kunstát | Thales

Corporate data is no longer accessed exclusively by people. AI models and autonomous agents are increasingly interacting with sensitive information, often in ways that traditional security mechanisms were not designed to handle.

Petr Kunstát explored the new challenges of protecting sensitive information in AI-driven environments. He particularly emphasised the importance of securing data flows between users, AI models, and data sources.

As AI becomes more deeply integrated into business processes, organisations must rethink how to protect sensitive data throughout its entire lifecycle.

Cybersecurity in the Era of Autonomous AI Agents

Peter Lechman | Splunk

Autonomous AI agents are gradually becoming part of the modern workplace. However, their capabilities and security depend on the quality of the data and context available to them.

Peter Lechman explained why data platforms are becoming one of the fundamental pillars of security in the age of AI agents. High-quality, well-managed data enables organisations to identify risks more effectively, gain better visibility into security threats, and make more informed decisions.

Beyond Technology: Building a Cybersecurity Community

Although the programme focused on technological solutions, the CISO Club is about much more than technology. Above all, it is about people, sharing experiences, and building mutual trust.

The meetings provide an environment where cybersecurity leaders can openly discuss real-world challenges, share practical experiences, and learn from peers facing similar responsibilities.

This informal, trusted setting encourages conversations that often do not have enough space at traditional professional conferences.

Knowledge sharing, trust, and collaboration are at the heart of the CEDEG Czech–Slovak CISO Club. By connecting experts and decision-makers from different sectors, CEDEG helps strengthen the cybersecurity community and create new opportunities for cooperation.
